When replacing your factory radio with an iDatalink Serial Port compatible car stereo, the HRN-HRR-CH3 installation harness from iDatalink makes it easier to install the Maestro ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 Car Radio Replacement Interface module (sold separately) in select Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Fiat, and Ram vehicles. The connectors in the box connect your new car stereo's serial port, your factory radio's wiring plugs, and the Maestro module. An in-line head-unit connector harness is included in this harness, and it may be plugged into their new "Head-unit direct" harnesses for specific radio brands. Simply cut off the plug and attach the wires to the harness that came with your new radio if you're installing a radio that doesn't function with a "Head-unit direct" connection.

Retain factory features

Choose radios from Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, and Sony that are iDatalink-compatible allow you to keep using the following built-in features:

• temperature settings and car settings are controlled using a touchscreen.
• controls on the steering wheel.
• turn on, fade, gain, and speed-compensated volume of the OEM amplifier.
• dependent on aftermarket radio inputs for rear-view and other cameras.
• presentation of an auxiliary vehicle (when equipped).
• control and video in the backseat (when equipped).

The harness also provides the outputs (parking brake, reverse, and VSS [Vehicle Speed Sense]), illumination outputs, and accessory power outputs required for the installation of a NAV receiver.
